Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in managing clinical operations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations in a long-term care setting.

The ADON will provide clinical leadership, oversee resident care plans, supervise nursing staff, participate in admissions assessments, and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing practices, infection control, and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee comprehensive resident care plans in accordance with physician orders, resident needs, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, compassionate nursing care that promotes residents' health, safety, dignity, and quality of life.
• Participate in admissions assessments and decisions, including prospective resident evaluations as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, consultants, therapists, community agencies, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance resident outcomes.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services with all facility departments.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
• Conduct competency evaluations for licensed, certified, and non-certified nursing personnel.
• Ensure adequate staffing and nursing coverage to meet resident care needs and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
