Job summary

Heritage Woods of Huntley is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead, train, and support the clinical team in delivering exceptional resident care. You will assess prospective residents, supervise staff, and partner with physicians and families to ensure quality outcomes.

Role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development in a senior care setting. In-person work at our Huntley, IL location is required.

Qualifications

• Holds valid state licensure as LPN or RN.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior senior care experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills with love, compassion and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment of prospective residents.
• Perform wellness assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver health promotion services and disease prevention counseling.
• Educate residents on self-care and preventive practices.
• Engage with residents and families to create positive experiences.
• Foster communication with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing learning through seminars and meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
