Job summary

Huntley First in Huntley, IL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the clinical team. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the ADON will train, schedule, and guide staff to deliver exceptional resident care experiences.

The candidate will perform wellness assessments, develop individualized care plans, promote health and disease prevention, and communicate with residents, families, and physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• LPN or RN license required in the state of Illinois.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in senior care is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, and guide the clinical team toward delivering high-quality care.
• Conduct initial and wellness assessments, and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care education.
• Engage with residents, families, physicians, and other providers to ensure timely communication.
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Participate in ongoing learning through seminars and meetings.
