Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services in Starbuck, MN seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee daily nursing functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the Director of Nursing. The ADON provides compassionate resident care, mentors staff, and helps maintain quality standards across the facility.

The role requires MN RN licensure, knowledge of MDS processes and infection control, strong team leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota; CEU renewal required.
• Thorough knowledge of MDS processes and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with regulations that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Assist in admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports and administrative duties as necessary.
• Maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental staff and other departments.
• Create a warm, calm environment and ensure resident privacy and dignity.
• Review complaints and grievances and report to the Director of Nursing.
