Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Jefferson City, MO is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the DON in planning, coordinating and managing the nursing department and resident care. The ADON oversees infection control and restorative programs and mentors nursing staff.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge and the ability to supervise a diverse team. Flexible shifts and weekend coverage may be required to ensure resident safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strongly preferred to have a current state license to practice as a practical nurse (LPN).
• Current CPR certification desired.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in long term care management.
• Excellent understanding of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs, and others under administrative or professional responsibility.
• Assist in supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; monitor staffing levels for resident safety.
• Oversee timekeeping, approve overtime, and resolve employee complaints.
• Promote primary assignments to support primary nursing care.
