Job summary

American Medical Associates is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Preventionist (IP) for a long‑term care facility near Deptford, NJ. The role partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations and ensure quality resident care while preparing for a potential transition to the Director of Nursing role.

The ideal candidate is an RN with strong leadership, infection prevention experience, and staff management skills. LPNs with extensive experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• RN preferred; highly experienced LPN may be considered for ADON position.
• Strong nursing leadership and clinical experience.
• Infection prevention experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and staff management skills.
• Ability to assume additional leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality resident care.
• Supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee infection prevention practices, monitor infections, and provide staff education.
• Assist with nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Take on increased leadership responsibilities in preparation for a potential transition into the Director of Nursing role.
