Job summary

Sunnyvale Post-Acute in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join as a full-time clinical leader. You will work with the Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team, champion high-quality patient care, and foster a supportive environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, participating in QA/QAPI, managing care plans, and ensuring regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in SNF/post-acute/long-term care.
• Leadership experience as Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or ADON preferred.
• Knowledge of Title 22 regulations governing long-term care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and EHR charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in overseeing daily nursing department operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LVNs, CNAs).
• Participate in QA/QAPI programs and conduct clinical audits.
• Oversee resident care plans and coordinate with families and physicians.
• Lead the team through state surveys and maintain regulatory readiness.
