Job summary

Sonoma Post Acute in Sonoma, CA is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role focuses on guiding clinical services, mentoring staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance to ensure premier resident care.

You will partner with the Director of Nursing, oversee daily nursing operations, participate in quality initiatives, and support recruitment, training, and performance management in a dynamic post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 3-5 years of nursing leadership or nurse management experience.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care, skilled nursing, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations.
• Assist with planning, development, implementation, and supervision of nursing services.
• Provide leadership and support to licensed nurses and nursing staff.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor resident conditions.
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of nursing staff.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, rights, and quality of care.
• Serve as a liaison between residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct resident care and clinical support as necessary.
