Job summary

Outcome HC is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead a nursing unit and assist the DON in clinical and managerial activities. The role directs coordination of all services on the unit and supports facility-wide nursing operations.

The ADON will lead staff meetings, ensure timely investigations, and work with multiple departments to deliver high‑quality resident care. Strong DOH/federal regulation knowledge and psychotropic medication oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited hospital or school of professional nursing (diploma or baccalaureate).
• Registered to practice nursing in New Jersey.
• Experience supervising and teaching in a behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge of DOH and Federal regulations as they relate to LTC.
• Advanced knowledge of psychotropic medication management.

Responsibilities

• Take leadership of assigned unit and coordinate services.
• Conduct staff meetings and ensure staff informed.
• Complete investigations and report to DON/IDCP Team as appropriate.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide continuum of care.
• Monitor documentation for restorative programs, psychotropic summaries, and resident weight.
• Coordinate nursing services with other units.
