Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to care for an adolescent population in a 212-bed psychiatric residential facility in Central Texas. The RN will perform physical assessments, implement treatment plans, administer medications, and supervise Mental Health Techs and LVN staff to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas professional Nurse License and current driver license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Assure safety, supervision, and crisis management for patient populations.
• Provide assessment and medical management of patients.
• Assist in the management of a therapeutic milieu.
• RN is the shift supervisor of the Mental Health Techs and LVN staff and ensures a safe, therapeutic environment.
