Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide physical assessments, administer medications, and implement treatment plans for youth in a psychiatric residential setting near Austin. The RN will supervise Mental Health Technicians and LVN staff, ensuring safety and a therapeutic milieu for patients aged 10–17.

Requires a BSN from an accredited program, Texas RN license, and preferred 1 year of psychiatric/neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school required.
• One year psychiatric/neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents/young adults preferred.
• Current Texas Registered Nurse License required.
• Current driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments of patients and implement treatment plans.
• Evaluate response to treatment and document as prescribed.
• Administer medications and provide health care education for patients and families.
• Supervise Mental Health Technicians and LVN staff; ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
