Job summary

Universal Health Services’ San Marcos Treatment Center is seeking an RN for weekend shifts (Sat-Sun, 6 AM–10 PM) to provide direct patient care to youth in a psychiatric residential setting between Austin and San Antonio. You will work under the Director of Nursing to implement and evaluate treatment plans, administer meds, and document care.

The RN will supervise Mental Health Techs and LVNs, ensure safety, and support crisis management within a therapeutic milieu for patients aged 6–17.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas professional Nurse License.
• One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents or young adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents, and young adults as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document care.
• Supervise Mental Health Techs and LVN staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Assess and manage medical conditions; crisis management as needed.
