Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to join the adolescent psychiatric unit at San Marcos Treatment Center, located between Austin and San Antonio in Central Texas.

The RN will perform physical assessments, implement treatment plans, and administer medications under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The role involves supervising Mental Health Techs and LVN staff, ensuring safety and a therapeutic milieu, and providing education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas professional Nurse License and driver license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments of patients.
• Implement and evaluate treatment plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide health care education for patients and families.
• Shift supervisor of Mental Health Techs and LVN staff; ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
