Job summary

The Admission Treatment Advocate at American Addiction Centers welcomes clients into the treatment facility and guides them through the admission process, supporting the intake team for a smooth transition into care.

You will handle orientation, paperwork, safety searches, and transport when assigned, collaborating with nursing and clinical staff to promote patient comfort, confidentiality, and compliant, ethical care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Working knowledge of electronic health records.
• Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Admissions & onboarding of new patients.
• Safety and security screenings and incident documentation.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Clinical staff on patient support.
• Document in the electronic health record and maintain compliance.
• Transport clients as assigned.
• Maintain professionalism and patient-centered care.

Education
