Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks an Admissions Nurse to provide professional nursing care within the treatment team. You will manage admissions, coordinate with care navigators, and ensure high-quality service in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities include intake screenings, documentation, collaboration with the Medical Director, and maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards in line with state rules.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of operation.
• Knowledge of mental health, addiction, and treatment preferred.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Able to handle confidential information and manage time wisely.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).

Responsibilities

• Complete the nursing admissions process, including explaining services and costs and conducting intake screenings.
• Deliver high-quality customer service standards of care and productivity.
• Review admission referrals and coordinate with navigators for proper placement.
• Triage all incoming clients for intended level of care.
• Coordinate with Medical Director for guidance on plans of action.
• Document patient care services by charting in client and department records.
• Maintain confidentiality and interdepartmental continuity of care.
