Job summary

The College of Southern Maryland is seeking an Admissions Specialist I to serve as the college’s voice for prospective and current students in the tri-county area. You will mainly support enrollment through phone, email, and in-person contacts, run CRM-based reports, and assist with tours and events.

Reporting to the Associate Director, AOD, you will perform entry- and journey-level admissions tasks, aiming to provide exceptional service while guiding applicants through the enrollment process

Qualifications

• Proven organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, attention to detail.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM software and student outreach is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service and basic advisement to students through phone, email, and in-person channels.
• Act as an internal recruiter, educating prospective students on programs and admissions requirements.
• Guide students through decision-making, conveying the college’s value proposition professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, campus tours, and recruitment events.
