Job description

Blue Cliff College is looking for a driven, student-focused Admissions Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students — guiding them through a life-changing decision with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for their success. If you thrive in a consultative, high-energy environment and want your work to make a real difference in people's lives, this opportunity is for you.

This is a lead-level position. You will be expected to achieve and sustain a high level of performance across both quantitative and qualitative metrics, operating fully within college-approved processes and in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, accrediting standards, and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with prospective students to evaluate their needs, interests, and qualifications, and provide clear, factual information to help them make informed decisions about attending the college.
  • Present program offerings and tuition information in an accurate and ethical manner, serving as a knowledgeable advocate for each prospective student.
  • Consistently meet and exceed performance goals across a suite of metrics, including enrollments, starts, conversion rate, show rate, schedule adherence, and compliance benchmarks.
  • Guide students through every stage of the admissions process — from scheduling the initial appointment and conducting the interview, to processing the enrollment, setting expectations, facilitating new student orientation, and supporting the start of class.
  • Ensure all admissions activities are conducted in full compliance with federal and state regulations, college policies and procedures, and all accrediting body requirements.
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid and other departments to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every student.
  • Maintain proactive, ongoing communication with enrolled students throughout their program of study to support retention and graduation outcomes.
  • Network off-campus to promote the college, develop personally sourced inquiries, and represent the institution at Open House events and other community engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (preferred).
  • 3–4 years of experience in college admissions, financial aid, high school counseling, or sales of intangible products (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years in consultative or relationship-based sales (required).
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Effective time management with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic office policies, procedures, and college operations.
  • Proficiency with college software systems and standard office tools.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to spend a considerable amount of time standing, walking, and moving about campus.
Compensation

Base Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, and may fall outside this range.

Benefits

Featured benefits for full-time team members include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance
  • Pet insurance and pet discount program
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off
