Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an experienced Admissions Professional to manage the admissions process for residents, coordinate marketing, and ensure a smooth transition into the center. The role involves screening applicants, gathering information, verifying eligibility, and collaborating with social services and referral sources to optimize census and care quality.

Strong communication and professional presentation are required; a high school diploma is required and health-care experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience, particularly in health care services desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services useful.
• Presents professional image through appearance, behavior and speech.

Responsibilities

• Maintains admissions guidelines and participates in updating admissions criteria, policies and procedures.
• Markets programs by providing information, answering questions and conducting tours for prospective residents and referral sources.
• Handles inquiries and completes inquiry system for admissions, Medicare facts, and room rates; gathers nursing information as needed.
• Ensures financial verification is accurate before admission to reduce accounts receivable.
• Screens prospective residents against admission criteria and refers to other programs as needed.
• Resolves resident/family concerns and contributes to service policy improvements.
