Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an experienced Admissions Professional to manage admission guidelines, market programs, gather applicant information, screen candidates and complete the admissions process for residents transitioning to the center.

The role supports census and quality mix by engaging prospective residents, referral sources and hospital discharge teams; it also ensures accurate financial verification prior to admission and coordinates with families to finalize placement.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma.
• Experience in health care services is desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services is useful.
• Present a professional image through appearance, behavior and speech.

Responsibilities

• Maintain admissions guidelines and assist in updating criteria, policies and procedures.
• Market programs and facilities; provide information and conduct tours for prospective residents and referral sources.
• Handle inquiries (walk-in/phone) and coordinate with referral sources and hospital discharge info.
• Verify financials prior to admission to reduce accounts receivable impact.
• Screen prospective residents against admission criteria and refer to other programs as needed.
• Address resident/family concerns; investigate and resolve dissatisfactions.
• Maintain knowledge of market areas, origins of residents, and major referral sources.
• Support census development by contacting referral sources and managing inquiries.
