Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Salem, MO seeks an Admission Specialist to coordinate admissions and intake, screen clients, and support billing and clinical teams. You will build relationships with referral sources, manage records, and ensure timely processing of admissions, transfers, and discharges in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Current automobile insurance as required by law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and ability to build rapport.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions and intake processes for new clients.
• Conduct client screenings by phone and in person to assess eligibility.
• Respond to referrals and document information in systems.
• Maintain census and waiting lists according to standards.
• Collaborate with Care Managers to verify insurance information.
• Enter and maintain accurate client data in required databases.
• Assist billing to process admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Provide administrative support to clinical staff with letters and forms.
