Job summary

PACS is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support facility operations by streamlining the admissions process and coordinating with nursing, social services, and discharge planners. The role emphasizes maintaining bed availability and ensuring a positive intake experience for residents and families.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), 2 years of admissions experience preferred, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general business software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required for admissions coordination.
• Ability to interact with residents, families and hospital discharge planners effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions process to ensure a positive experience for residents and families.
• Plan, direct, and monitor daily admissions operations to meet census goals.
• Admit patients and verify admission criteria and financial responsibility.
• Coordinate with nursing and other departments to ensure timely communications and bed availability.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protect organization reputation.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and assist in outreach events to attract referrals.
