A reputable and growing Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead the admissions process, coordinate referrals, and help maintain strong facility census. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a healthcare professional with experience in skilled nursing admissions, long-term care, rehabilitation services, insurance verification, Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and resident intake coordination.
The Admissions Director serves as the primary contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources, ensuring a seamless admission experience while delivering exceptional customer service.
Manage the entire admissions process from referral through admission.
Respond quickly to referrals from hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, families, and community partners.
Verify insurance coverage, benefits eligibility, and obtain necessary authorizations for admission.
Review referrals and collaborate closely with nursing leadership regarding admission appropriateness.
Meet with residents and responsible parties to obtain required clinical, personal, and financial information.
Explain facility services, programs, and admission requirements to residents and families.
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
Coordinate room assignments based on clinical needs, resident preferences, and bed availability.
Maintain accurate admission records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Build positive relationships with referral sources to support occupancy and census goals.
Provide outstanding customer service throughout the admissions and transition process.
Previous experience as an Admissions Director, Admissions Coordinator, Intake Coordinator, or Healthcare Admissions Specialist preferred.
Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, assisted living, or healthcare admissions strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, and Prior Authorization Processes.
