Job summary

Chateau-Nursing-and-Reha is seeking an Admissions Director for our Extended Care facility in Illinois. You will coordinate all admissions and transfers and lead marketing efforts to grow census.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of admissions/marketing experience in a nursing home setting, strong communication, and proficiency with payer sources. You will build relationships with hospitals and providers, conducting tours and guiding new residents and families through the admission process.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and managed care payer sources
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and databases
• Ability to work well in a team with a positive, proactive approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete admission process for new and returning residents
• Manage the referral process and build relationships with hospitals and community partners
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
• Communicate admissions, discharges, and readmissions to the IDT
• Meet new residents and families, obtain required documentation and signatures
• Collaborate with the Business Office on daily census reconciliation
• Participate in morning and afternoon census/admissions meetings
• Assist with bed management and room moves as needed

Admissions Director Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing
• In-depth knowledge of the admission process and payer sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Managed Care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and databases
• Ability to work well in a team setting with a positive and enthusiastic approach to tasks
• Reliable and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

As an Admissions Director, you will:

• Meet and greet new residents and family members, obtaining required documentation and signatures

• Assist in bed management and room moves as needed
