Job summary

Belgrove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Kearny, NJ, is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead our admissions process and drive census growth. The role includes managing referrals, insurance verification, and admissions while coordinating with hospital partners and clinical teams.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a salary of $85K–$95K annually. A strong SNF/post-acute care background and excellent relationship-building are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of admissions, intake, or healthcare business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, admissions, insurance verification, and authorization processes
• Build strong relationships with hospitals, referral sources, families, and community partners
• Maintain timely referral responses and support census goals
• Oversee admission documentation, census reporting, and billing communication
• Conduct facility tours and guide families through the admissions process
• Collaborate with Marketing, Billing, MDS, Concierge, and clinical teams
• Ensure a smooth transition for residents from referral through admission

Belgrove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead our admissions process and help drive census growth. The ideal candidate has strong skilled nursing admissions experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, census-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, admissions, insurance verification, and authorization processes




• Build strong relationships with hospitals, referral sources, families, and community partners




• Maintain timely referral responses and support census goals




• Oversee admission documentation, census reporting, and billing communication




• Conduct facility tours and guide families through the admissions process




• Collaborate with Marketing, Billing, MDS, Concierge, and clinical teams




• Ensure a smooth transition for residents from referral through admission

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of admissions, intake, or healthcare business development experience




• Prior SNF/post-acute care experience required




• Previous Admissions Director or Admissions Coordinator experience required




• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance authorization processes




• Experience with PointClickCare, NaviHealth, CarePort, and AllScripts preferred




• Strong organizational, communication, relationship-building, and multitasking skills
