Job summary

MediLodge of Sterling Heights is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage facility inquiries and the admission process. You will serve hospital discharge planners, families, and referral sources with clear information and timely follow-up to support smooth transitions.

The ideal candidate has a business/communications background, 1–2 years in customer service or healthcare admissions, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications preferred.
• Two years sales/marketing experience or Admissions Coordinator experience in lieu of degree.
• Previous healthcare community relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.
• Manages the admission process by maintaining bed availability and facility services information.
• Enter referrals and admissions data into the automated referral system daily.
• Communicates special needs of new admits to staff for smooth transitions.
• Maintains knowledge of Federal and State reimbursement guidelines (Medicare/Medicaid).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
