Job summary

MediLodge of Lansing seeks a Central Admissions Coordinator based in our Lansing Corporate office to manage inquiries and the admissions process while coordinating with hospital case managers. This role emphasizes building relationships with hospitals and community sources to ensure smooth patient transitions.

The position offers an opportunity to contribute to admissions planning, maintain bed availability information, and support census goals.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business/Communications preferred.
• Two years in a sales/marketing or Admissions Coordinator role or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare community relations experience preferred.
• One year of customer service experience with healthcare knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.
• Manage admissions by maintaining bed availability and facility services information.
• Maintain occupancy data and census/premium mix.
• Communicate special needs of new admits to staff for smooth transitions.
• Enter referral and admissions data into the automated referral system.
