Job summary

Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington, NC is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to guide patients and families through the admissions process and coordinate with staff for a smooth transition from acute to post-acute care.

You will welcome patients, explain paperwork and requirements, prepare rooms and supplies, and maintain HIPAA privacy while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience in post-acute admissions or patient relations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients and families by welcoming them to the center and answering non-clinical questions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure clear understanding of admission procedures, requirements, and expectations.
• Help guide patients and families through the admissions process, explaining paperwork, consent forms, and other important information.
• Ensure patient rooms and supplies are fully prepared for new admissions.
• Communicate with insurance providers to obtain initial and extensions of authorization for services.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Be the customer service champion for the center and ensure customer service standards are upheld.
• Respond in timely manner to service concerns to ensure exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do
