Job summary

Genesis seeks an Admissions Director in Alabama to lead the admissions process, manage referrals, and optimize payer relationships to hit census and payer targets. You will drive timely response times, build community referrals, and manage the center’s brand online.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, clear patient/family communication, and strategies to boost conversions and community engagement. Schedule: M-F 8-4:30 with weekend MOD every 6 weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to adjust work schedule based on nursing centers’ business need, specifically incoming admissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire patient admissions process, ensuring timely follow-up on all leads, referral response times of less than 15 minutes, and achieving budgeted census and payer goals.
• Build and nurture relationships with key referral sources in the community through regular engagement and a consistent touchpoint system.
• Serve as the brand steward, maintaining and updating the nursing center’s website and managing social media engagement; strive for a Google rating above 4.0 with a 15% improvement.
• Lead efforts to improve interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring smooth transition-of-care processes with strong patient and family communication.
• Achieve a 50% or greater conversion ratio by improving referral-to-admit processes and tour-to-admit conversions; target 10% improvements in 3 months.
