Job summary

Lone Star Park is seeking a customer service associate to greet guests at entry and provide information on available services in a friendly, professional manner. Role may include evenings, weekends or holidays; occasional overtime is possible. Must handle cash and card transactions accurately and maintain opening/closing duties as assigned.

Bilingual skills are a plus; fluency in English required. Strong communication, math skills, and attention to detail are essential; experience with cash

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–6 months cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must pass background check and regulatory license if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers upon entry to the facility in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provides information on all customer-related services and products.
  • Generates monies/credit card charges to night auditors as required.
  • Directs groups scheduled for events regarding informational services.
  • Monitors guests and reports problems to the Department Manager.
  • Performs opening/closing duties as assigned; may work evenings, weekends or holidays.

Job description

General Definition:Promote positive customer relations by providing a full range of informational services to patrons upon entry to the facility in a friendly, professional manner.Essential Job Functions:Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assignedGreets customers upon entry to simulcast facility, grandstand, or any other designated area where customer’s entry or patronage is required in a friendly, professional manner.Generates monies/credit card charge information to the night auditors as required.Furnishes information (both printed and verbal) regarding all customer-related services provided throughout the facility.Provides direction to groups scheduled for specific events regarding all informational services and products.Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.Monitors guest for problems and reports any such findings to Department Manager.Maintains and completes all opening/closing duties according to procedures set forth within the department.Performs other duties as assigned.Education & Training:High school diploma or GED3 – 6 months of cash handling experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Requires excellent communication skills, basic math and reasoning ability under extreme public scrutiny.Strong cash handling experience requiredDetail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks as assigned.Excellent customer service and cash handling skills required.Must be able to communicate fluently in English and to follow instructions as given.Bilingual a plus.Data entry skills a plus.Training:Responsible GamingLicenses/Certifications/Other:Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions.Physical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
