Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts seeks an Admissions Advisor I for our San Jose, CA campus. This on-site role screens and counsels prospective students, guides them through the admissions process, and ensures alignment of goals with program opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Set appointments and campus tours with prospective students.

• Complete enrollment paperwork with students and update status in the pipeline.
• Prepare enrollment reports for weekly campus meetings.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in campus events and graduation ceremonies.

The AA is ultimately the primary screen for student acceptance through using a combination of tools including interviewing, initial competency test scores, review of experience, and review of prior academic requirements. The AA will ultimately require the knowledge of each program at their campus and be prepared to offer counsel to prospective students on both the viability of the program for the student and ensuring the students stated goals are in alignment with the career opportunities presented by the program the student is interested in.
