TITLE: Administrative Support Specialist, Technology and Data - CO
JOB STATUS: FLSA Overtime Eligible
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology and Data or his/her designee
DEPARTMENT: Technology and Data
PAY RANGE: FIVE (5)
POSITION SUMMARY: To assist and relieve administrative supervisor(s) of paperwork and impediments using technology, allowing them to focus on central problems in Technology and Data.
Job Qualifications
- An Associate Degree or higher in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Google, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Three to five years of successful experience as a secretary preferred.
- Ability to courteously greet and interact with the public, students, and staff both in person and by phone.
- Ability to collaborate, handle confidential matters, prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure with attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education.
Essential Duties- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information relating to legal counsel, Board of Education, staff, evaluations, resumes, and financial matters.
- Prepare communications for the Board of Education, including agendas and weekly reports.
- Handle inquiries from staff and parents, schedule appointments, and make referrals.
- Manage budgets, accounts, district credit card, and petty cash, including requisitions and stipend records.
- Maintain files, verify forms, and compile reports for department initiatives, with proficiency in Excel.
- Schedule appointments, arrange conferences and travel, and prepare/distribute materials via email and other communication channels.
- Respond to requests from external agencies and coordinate with outside vendors.
- Use software to design forms, presentations, databases, and conduct research.
- Stay updated on state and federal regulations, providing current forms and documentation.
- Maintain records and arrange tutors for home instruction services.
- Make decisions based on administrative rules and ensure student safety.
- Establish professional relationships and uphold confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
Terms of Employment: 261 days, 8 hours per day, with specifics on vacation, holidays, and salary as per negotiated agreement. Work year to be established by the Board.
Salary: Starting hourly rate $22.43 - $24.83.
