Performs diversified clerical duties related to the operational needs of the office/department.
Job Responsibility
- Performs diversified clerical duties which may include, but are not limited to: Typing various correspondence, reports, articles; Greeting and directing visitors; Answering telephones, taking messages, directing intercom pages; Scheduling appointments/meetings; Maintaining department/office files, record keeping, patient record filing; Taking meeting minutes; Collecting payments; Keeping inventory and ordering supplies for the department/office;

- Answer high-volume inbound calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Manage incoming and outbound calls while meeting established service level standards.
- Triage calls and route patients appropriately according to clinical and operational workflows.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, provider availability, procedures, medical records, prescriptions, and billing concerns.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
- Respond to patient portal messages and voicemail requests within established turnaround times.
- Ensure insurance information is entered correctly into the electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management system.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referral requirements, and prior authorization status.
Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
