Description

The incumbent oversees administrative functions for the Ambulatory Float Pool and collaborates with operational managers to coordinate systemwide communication and process development for float staff. Key responsibilities include managing complex staff training schedules, overseeing the onboarding process, ensuring all employee compliance records are up to date, coordinating staffing assignments and coverage, monitoring employee performance and compliance with departmental standards, and providing ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development support. This role directly supervises administrative staff to ensure accountability and the effective use of departmental resources.

Provide administrative oversight, coaching, and support within Ambulatory Float Pool operations. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, serve as a liaison between operational managers and staff to ensure coordination of clinical staffing and support needs. Work closely with the Director of Operations to improve operational efficiency, support staff development, and foster a productive and collaborative work environment. Represent the department in meetings involving daily operations, implementation of system goals, and adherence to protocols.

Salary Range: $73,000 - $149,600 Annually

Qualifications
Required
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience supervising administrative staff in a healthcare, ambulatory, staffing, or similarly complex operational environment
  • 3 years of excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Excellent written , verbal interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, and procedures; identify patterns and tendencies, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and recognize alternatives and their implications
  • Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly in person and over the telephone, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary in order to share information, effectively communicate, share and obtain information with persons from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare delivery and staffing ratios
  • Ability to work as part of team and establish cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to set priorities and complete assignments in a timely manner under minimal supervision
  • Experience with varied computer software and hardware including word-processing, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MCCS (PDM and ADT) system
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working collaboratively with Directors, Managers, and key stake holders.
  • Skill in establishing and implementing goals
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/ or equivalent experience/ training
  • 2 years Demonstrated experience managing employee schedules, distributing assignments, balancing workloads, and responding to changing operational priorities
  • 1 yearExperience coaching employees, setting performance expectations, monitoring productivity, providing feedback, addressing performance concerns, and supporting employee development Formal education or specialized coursework in project management, data analytics, process improvement, workforce management, or healthcare operations
