Responsibilities

  • Performs reception and clerical duties for the department and executive director, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
  • Coordinate purchases and tracking for instructional and administrative supplies.
  • Prepare reports, projects, and documentation including attendance and staff calendars.
  • Data entry and updates to student records in appropriate databases.
  • Enter mileage and travel needs for faculty, staff and students.
  • Organize details for staff meetings, programs, and events with facilities coordination.

Summary of Job Duties

Manage the day-to-day operation of theWATC office by providing technical support, general administrativesupport, and clerical support functions for the Western ArkansasTechnical Center and Early College Programs Works in tandem withthe other WATC staff to accomplish departmental goals and toprovide support for the director, program coordinator, and programfaculty as well as staff at the Peak Innovation Center. Thisposition reports to the Executive Director of Early CollegePrograms. Background and child maltreatment central registry checksare required. This position is a twelve month assignment.

Qualifications
Education & Work Experience

This position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent plus three or more years of general administrative experience. Other jobrelated education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements. An associate degree is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs all phases of reception and clerical duties for the department and for the executive director, including answeringphones, greet, direct and provide general information for employeesand visitors, typing of documents, student files. This includesassistance in answering phones and greeting visitors at the PeakInnovation Center.
  • Coordinate all purchases and tracking for requiredinstructional and administrative supplies as well as purchases forstudent licensures.
  • Responsible for a variety of assigned reports, projects, anddocumentation included in the taking and recording of studentattendance and maintains staff calendars. This includes managingdaily records of student arrival/departure.
  • Performs data entry and updates concurrent student records inappropriate databases.
  • Responsible for entering mileage and travel needs for faculty,staff and students.
  • Organize details for staff meetings, programs, and other eventsby arranging times and facilities.
