Administrative Specialist

Level: Junior | Work Location: On-Site – Arlington, VA

This position is contingent upon contract award.

About the Role

Red Carrot is seeking a Junior Administrative Specialist to support the customer's External Affairs front office operations. This role provides essential administrative and clerical support to keep task management workflows running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor shared email boxes for tasking; log and track incoming requests in accordance with established SOPs
  • Support the review, assignment, de-confliction, and prioritization of taskings with approval from Government staff
  • Proofread written materials for typographical, grammatical, and format errors
  • Perform word processing, research, proofreading, editing, copying, and binding in support of EA leadership
  • Maintain department and client files, expense reports, and coordinate events and meetings
  • Perform clerical functions including preparing reports, tracking leadership commitments, and scheduling meetings
  • Coordinate with teams across the agency to employ task management workflows, review and process informational materials, and ensure proper archiving and records management
  • Generate reports to assist with management and disposition of tasking
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience providing administrative and clerical support for clients and staff
  • Demonstrated experience with word processing, research, proofreading, editing, copying, binding, maintaining files, expense reports, and coordinating events and meetings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar task management systems a plus
  • Ability to obtain the required government Fitness Determination
