Colorado School of Mines seeks a highly organized Program Assistant I to support daily operations of the School of Minerals and Subsurface Energy. You will assist faculty, staff, and students, coordinate administrative tasks, and help manage communications, events, and program support.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic university setting with a standard daytime schedule.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Experience coordinating resources, managing budgets, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Experience with website management, social media engagement, and content creation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for school leadership, faculty, staff, and programs.
  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, document prep, reporting, and special projects.
  • Coordinate conference room, office, lab, and building access.
  • Support school events, seminars, and short courses.
  • Supervise and coordinate student employees as assigned.
  • Manage budget-related administrative activities and financial processing.
  • Support undergraduate and graduate student services and program operations.
  • Maintain school website content and contribute to marketing materials.
