Qualifikationen

• A bachelor’s degree in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscape architecture with four years of full-time horticultural work, two years in supervisory/administrative capacity.
• Alternatively, a satisfactory equivalent with a high school diploma and one year of supervisory/administrative experience.
• Five years of experience planning, administering or expediting large projects; two years in administrative/managerial roles.

Aufgaben

• Under administrative direction, perform highly difficult and complex work in planning, coordinating, and overseeing green infrastructure horticultural activities across the city.
• Develop and negotiate contracts including cost, time estimates, and funding sources for maintenance related to green infrastructure projects.
• Direct a staff of project management professionals overseeing timely and cost-effective implementation of major green infrastructure projects.
• Oversee green infrastructure maintenance projects from initiation to completion.
• Direct technical project management operations including planning, budget and scope development, vendor procurement, design and construction management, and project close-outs.
• May assume duties in the supervisor’s temporary absence.
