This position offers hourly compensation paid on a bi-weekly basis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and customer service focused, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities while supporting office operations, purchasing, invoicing, scheduling, events, and administrative processes in a professional manner.What You Need to KnowSalary: $21.63 - $26.44/hourly.Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended and will help in our review. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this roleEssential Duties/TasksAdministrative Operations ManagementOversees planning and execution of administrative operations.Maintains daily office calendar and appointment monitoring.Reviews and monitors project and program timelines and proactively identifies issues.Researches and responds to inquiries about office procedures and processes.Coordinates logistical arrangements for travel, meetings, and events.Serves as primary or backup administrative support to assigned functional areas.Support and CoordinationProvides administrative support for executive staff and various team members.Coordinates meetings, conferences, and special events.Ensures compliance with office policies and procedures.Compiles and distributes candidate itineraries and schedules for interviews.Coordinates logistical arrangements for staff events and meetings.Provides administrative support with invoicing.Provides administrative support with purchasing.Other duties as assigned.Compliance and Policy OversightMonitors compliance with office policies and procedures.Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures.Assists in establishing procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.Staff Training and SupervisionSupervises and trains student workers and support staff.Assists in the development of processes for student onboarding.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two years of experience in office administration.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.Interpersonal and communication skills.Planning and organization skills.Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs.Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instructing individuals and groups.Skilled in utilizing various learning and active listening strategies.Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning.Ability to facilitate and adapt course and the course content.Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift/move up to 20-30 lbs with assistance.Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines.Our CommitmentTexas A&M University is committed to enriching the learning and working environment by promoting a culture that respects all pers p ectives, talents & lived experience s .
