Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties
  • Receives and reviews applications for compliance with departmental policies and assists clients with applying for benefits through the kiosk.
  • Conducts client interviews and gathers information to assess potential eligibility for SNAP, Family Independence Temporary Assistance, Kinship Care Assistance, and STEP program benefits.
  • Performs eligibility-related activities, including registering work items, processing appointment letters, address changes, benefit verifications, and Electronic Benefit Card issuance or replacement.
  • Researches client information and verifies case documentation using applicable eligibility and benefits systems, including CLIENT, SIEVS, LDET, LASES, INFOPAC, CAFÉ, and LITE.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support by scanning and indexing documents, processing mail and faxes, maintaining forms and supplies, compiling reports, and distributing documents to staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of program policies and procedures by participating in required training, including National Voter Registration Act, Disaster Food Stamp, and National Incident Management System training.
  • Maintains readiness to support disaster response operations, including assisting with Disaster Food Stamp eligibility interviews and registering and supporting evacuees at designated shelters.
