The Louisiana Center for Safe Schools, part of the State of Louisiana, seeks an exceptionally detail-oriented administrative coordinator in Baton Rouge. You will streamline office processes, manage workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting leadership and program operations.

You will serve as a key liaison between the agency, educational partners, law enforcement, and external stakeholders, coordinating calendars, meetings, and official communications to advance safe schools

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in administrative services.
  • Experience substitutions: every 15 semester hours earned substitutes for six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates day-to-day administrative operations and workflows to ensure efficiency and accountability.
  • Monitors deadlines, policies, and internal controls to maintain compliance across all office functions.
  • Manages calendars, schedules, and logistics for meetings, training sessions and program events.
  • Serves as the primary administrative liaison for communications with law enforcement, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversees expenditures, supplies, and inventory in line with budget requirements.
  • Prepares and edits official correspondence, reports, presentations, and digital communications to support program objectives.

The Louisiana Center for Safe Schools strengthens the safety, well-being, and resilience of school communities by coordinating statewide resources, training, and information sharing to build positive school climates and advance best practices in emergency readiness, empowering schools to effectively prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises.

We’re looking for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organized, and an effective communicator. In this role, you will play a vital part by providing comprehensive administrative coordination, managing operational workflows, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Working under the direction of leadership, you will streamline office processes, oversee fiscal monitoring, and manage schedules and correspondence. You will ultimately serve as a key administrative anchor, facilitating smooth communication between the agency, educational partners, law enforcement, and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Appointment Type: Probational. Current classified permanent status employees may be required to take a probational appointment if selected for this position.
