Job summary

The LSU AgCenter is seeking an Administrative Coordinator 3 for the 4-H Youth Development Office in Baton Rouge, LA. You will provide administrative support, manage travel arrangements, expenses, and events, and help with record-keeping and communications.

Work hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: work with statewide extension specialists assisting with travel arrangements, expense reports, and planning for events and publications. Other duties include, but not limited to, record keeping, requisitions, purchase orders, supply management processing mail, and managing multi-line communication system, etc. (55%)
  • Travel Planning and Event Coordination: Make travel arrangements, prepare and submit travel authorizations, and process expense reports for faculty and staff. Coordinate various events, trainings, meetings, and award trips. Maintain budget and reconciliation of all expenses for events. (45%)

Job Duties:

As an Administrative Coordinator 3, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors. In this role, you will:

  • Administrative Support: work with statewide extension specialists assisting with travel arrangements, expense reports, and planning for events and publications. Other duties include, but not limited to, record keeping, requisitions, purchase orders, supply management processing mail, and managing multi-line communication system, etc. (55%)

Position-Specific Details:
  • Appointment Type: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
  • Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.Some nights and weekends may be needed.
  • Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
  • Location: 4-H Youth Development Office, Baton Rouge, La.
  • This position is not eligible for remote employment.
