Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at City Campus in Lincoln, NE. This role serves as the primary contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, overseeing office operations and space management.

The position supports course scheduling, enrollment, classroom logistics, and events, while assisting with scholarship activities and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus two years of progressively responsible experience in business or customer service OR an Associate degree plus four years OR a high school diploma plus six years.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines and interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community groups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, operational, and academic support for Durham School’s City Campus programs and activities; serve as primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee daily office operations, facilities support, and space/access management.
  • Support events such as meetings, luncheons, and visiting speakers, particularly on City Campus.

  • Provide support to students and faculty, directing to resources and acting as liaison with School leadership.
  • Assist with scholarship and fellowship administration.
  • Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts and administrative support to the Director.

Description of Work

The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction is a leader in advancing knowledge and innovating solutions in the fields of architectural engineering and construction. We prepare tomorrow’s leaders through strong, mutually beneficial collaborations with industry, focused on improving performance, sustainability, occupant comfort and well-being, and safety in the built environment.
The Durham School is co-located in both Lincoln and Omaha. This position serves as the primary administrative support and point of contact for the School at our location on UNL’s City Campus in Lincoln, NE.
As an Administrative Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide administrative, operational, and academic support for the Durham School’s City Campus programs and activities; serving as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee daily office operations, facilities support, and space and access management.
  • Support aspects of Durham School events such as meetings, luncheons, and visiting speakers, particularly those occurring on City Campus.
  • Support academic and student service functions, including course scheduling, enrollment management support, and classroom logistics
  • Provide support to students and faculty, answering questions, directing to appropriate resources or individuals, and serving as a liaison with School leadership.
  • Assist with scholarship and fellowship administration.
  • Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts, special projects, and administrative support to the Director.

Minimum Required Qualifications
