Job summary

Shriner’s Children's is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide advanced support to the Director of Ancillary Services and the team. You will manage meetings, travel, and calendars while driving process improvements and policy development.

The role requires 3–5 years of administrative experience with healthcare exposure; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This on-site position supports budgeting, regulatory compliance, and special projects within the Ancillary Services division.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of administrative experience.
  • 1 year experience in a health care setting.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities of the Director including meetings, minutes, calendars, and travel.
  • Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting needed actions.
  • Resolve administrative problems by analyzing information and proposing solutions.
  • Support administrative staff through training and policy development.
  • Assist with service agreements, capital requests, monthly budget variance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead special projects as directed.

Please click here to learn more about our locations.Job DescriptionThe Administrative Coordinator performs advanced level support to the Director of Ancillary Services and Ancillary Services direct reports and staff. Oversees special projects as directed by the Director.Key Responsibilities:Maintains administrative workflow of the Director including coordinating all activities, including meetings, minutes, appointments, calendars, and travel.Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to Director.Resolves administrative problems by analyzing information; identifying and communication solutions.Completes administrative projects by identifying and implementing new technology and resources; redesigning systems; recommending re-deployment of designated resources.Provides administrative support to include preparing correspondences, presentations, manuscripts, databases and templates.Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and coaching.Manage inventory of office supplies; purchase supplies and equipment when needed.Assist the Director in managing service agreement, capital requests, monthly budget variance review and regulatory requirements (registrations, PMs, etc.)Assist Director's direct reports by researching, developing, writing, and updating administrative policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating developments to Director.Assist, lead and manage special projects of the Director. This may include scheduling meetings, designing workflows, process improvement, contacting vendors, and corresponding with third parties.Required Qualifications:High School diploma / GEDPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor degree in healthcare, business or related field3-5 years administrative experience1 year experience in a health care settingCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
