This is an extended posting for temporary Administrative Associate I positions within the Ferry Division. Multiple Administrative Associate I positions will be filled from this posting. We will be filling positions for the following locations: Hatteras, Ocracoke Island (south dock), Currituck, Knotts Island, Bayview, Aurora, Minnesott Beach and Cherry Branch. The Ferry Division is seeking temporary Administrative Associate I employees to serve as front-line customer service and toll collection staff at ferry terminals. Employees will sell ferry tickets, collect and process toll payments, handle cash, credit, and electronic transactions, maintain accurate transaction records, and provide information and assistance to the traveling public. This position requires strong attention to details and professional public interaction skills. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping and delivers timely, courteous assistance to the traveling public, helping maintain a well-organized and welcoming terminal environment.
Work Schedule: Positions may work a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule with varying hours. Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and/or other operationally required hours.
$15 - $17/hour
Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC01 - Hiring Range: $15 - $17/hour
