nextSource is seeking a Dean's Coordinator for a 3-month temporary assignment in Providence, RI. The role supports the Dean and Associate Dean in the School of Engineering, handling scheduling, communications, and special projects.

The Dean's Coordinator will be working directly with the Associate Dean in the School of Engineering.The selected must be good at using the internet and online library resources to efficiently conduct basic research and answer everyday business questions, as well as research specific topics. The selectedshould be able to follow manuals and tutorials and complete administrative tasks independently. The selected should demonstrate strong note-taking skills for personal reference and the ability to quickly learn and retain information after initial instruction.
Job Description:
Thispositionwill also help to support the Dean's projects and serve as the main contact for meetings, and daily communication to all internal and external members, as well as the ability and confidence to reach out to other departments within the University. The coordinator will also proactively manage special projects, meetings, events, agendas, purchases and otherinitiatives. It would also be important to take an active role in planning and follow through of timesensitiveactivities and deadlines. The incumbent manages the Associate Dean’s schedule and calendar, drafting correspondence, laboratory and course administrative assistance, drafting correspondence, and arranging meetings This role would also be involved in planning activities and provide administrative support for seminars and preparing reports and presentation materials as needed.
Daily Tasks:
Proactively manage numerous administrative functions including managing the Associate Dean's special projects, meetings and agendas. Serve as a central liaison between the Associate Dean and faculty, students, staff and other internal and external constituents.
