Job summary

The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Valdez District is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to support remote district operations and collaborate with leadership teams in Valdez, AK.

You will provide essential administrative support, guide process improvements, and oversee the work of an Administrative Assistant 1, contributing to efficient district operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of traditional accounting practices including accruals, obligations, and costs methods.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address issues and improve processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential administrative support in a remote district and coordinate with the District Superintendent and regional staff.
• Guide, recommend solutions, and help develop and improve administrative processes while leading an Administrative Assistant 1.
• Lead and coordinate the work of an Administrative Assistant 1.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities across the district.
