Job Description: The Adjunct Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction for SEARK's Nursing Assistant Training Program in accordance with Arkansas Office of Long-Term Care (OLTC) requirements, applicable state regulations, and SEARK College policies.Essential Responsibilities:Teach approved nursing assistant curriculum in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.Provide instruction in basic nursing skills, safety, infection control, communication, resident rights, personal care, and restorative care.Supervise and evaluate students during laboratory and clinical experiences.Maintain accurate student attendance, competency, clinical, and performance records.Provide student feedback, remediation, and support to promote successful completion of the program and CNA competency requirements.Follow OLTC-approved curriculum, instructional standards, clinical requirements, and SEARK policies.Maintain professional standards and promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.Collaborate with the CNA Program/Primary Instructor and Health Professions faculty.Other duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Current Licensed Practical Nurse) LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or eligible compact/multistate licensure.Minimum of two years of nursing experience, including at least one year of long-term-care nursing experience in a nursing facility within the previous five years, consistent with OLTC requirements.No current disciplinary action by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.Experience teaching adults, supervising nursing assistants/students, or completion of an approved instructor/teaching workshop.Demonstrated clinical competence, communication skills, and commitment to student success.Preferred QualificationsPrevious CNA/Nursing Assistant instructor experience.Experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or skilled nursing.Previous community college teaching experience.Familiarity with OLTC Nursing Assistant Training Program requirements.Compliance: The instructor must provide and maintain all qualifications, credentials, training, and documentation required by Arkansas OLTC and SEARK College for continued appointment as a Nursing Assistant instructor.OTHER JOB-RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.Application Procedures: All candidates must apply online at https://www.seark.edu/careers.
