Summary:The Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor provides high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction for SEARK's Practical Nursing Program in accordance with Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN) standards, applicable accreditation requirements, and SEARK College policies.Essential ResponsibilitiesDeliver assigned nursing courses using approved curriculum, course outcomes, and instructional materials.Provide classroom, skills laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction as assigned.Supervise and evaluate student performance and clinical competency.Incorporate clinical judgment, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, patient safety, and NCLEX-PN preparation.Maintain accurate attendance, grades, clinical evaluations, and student records.Provide timely student feedback, remediation, and academic support.Maintain clinical and instructional competency in assigned areas.Participate in faculty meetings, orientation, professional development, and program activities as required.Follow SEARK policies, ASBN regulations, clinical agency requirements, HIPAA, and applicable safety standards.Minimum Qualifications:Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or eligible compact/multistate licensure.Associate’s degree in nursing (AAS or ADN) or higher, consistent with ASBN requirements for faculty teaching in a practical nursing program.Clinical experience in medical-surgical, maternal-child, mental health, gerontology, or other relevant nursing areas.Demonstrated competency in the area(s) of assigned instruction.Ability to effectively communicate with and support diverse adult learners.Commitment to student success, professional nursing practice, and continuous improvement.Preferred Qualifications:Previous practical nursing or nursing faculty experience.Experience with simulation, online/hybrid instruction, NCLEX preparation, and clinical judgment.Previous community college teaching experience.Employment is contingent upon verification of required licensure, education, clinical experience, and other SEARK employment requirements.Compliance: Faculty must provide and maintain current licensure and demonstrate continued instructional and clinical competency in assigned areas.
