Job Summary

The Adjunct Pharmacy Technician Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction, and clinical supervision. Assigned classes and clinicals may occur during the day or evening with varying teaching locations. This position reports to LSCPA’s Allied Health Department.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide quality instruction
  • Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives
  • Attend faculty meetings
  • Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends
  • Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Occasional travel to various campuses and healthcare facilities
  • Comply with campus policies and procedures
  • Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Pharmacy Technology or related healthcare field, from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of pharmacy practice
  • Pharmacy Technician licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • CPhT – National Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Teaching experience at a two-year college
Supplemental Information

Physical Requirements: Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure effective instruction and safe supervision of students in classroom and laboratory settings.
