Job summary

Motlow College in Nashville seeks an Adjunct Instructor – Culinary Arts to deliver high-quality instruction across on-ground, online and hybrid formats. You will collaborate with course leads and program coordinators to ensure consistent, equitable student experiences and utilize the college LMS to share materials.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and at least three years in the field; preferred Bachelor’s Degree, ACF certification, and college teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a closely related field.
  • Three years' experience in the culinary field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred).
  • Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation (preferred).
  • College level teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
  • Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
  • Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
  • Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
  • Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
  • Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Culinary Arts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Rate of Pay: $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour
